Democrat Government Will be No Friend to Oil
The election is over and the hearts and minds of the American public were mesmerized by the "pied piper of change". The economy overshadowed other important problems facing this country as we took another step toward Euro-socialism.
A week after the election it was already assumed that Obama would use executive orders to roll back drilling offshore as well as in areas such as Utah.
The change that half of the country voted for will probably cause higher energy costs as the new administration chases after more expensive and less productive alternative energy sources such as wind and solar.
Hold on to your pocket books it's going to be a rough ride!
Alternatives are Not the Short Term Answer
The World Uses the Equivalent of a Cubic Mile of Oil a Year
cubic mile of oil equals 26.2 billion barrels of
oil According
to IEEE Spectrum , a cubic mile of oil has energy equivalent
to:
- 4 Three Gorges dams, cranking for 50 years.
- 32850 1.65 megawatt wind turbines, cranking for 50 years
(100% capacity factor).
- 91,250,000 2.1 kW solar PV installations, for 50 years.
- 104 500 megawatt coal-fired electric plants, for 50 years.
- 52 1.1 gigawatt nuclear electric plants, for 50 years.
How is alternative energy going
to replace oil?
